Located at 2401 Wabash Ave Ste B, Springfield, IL 62704, MISSION BBQ operates as a chinese bbq serving Springfield in Illinois. In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Springfield; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in Illinois are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.
Hours are published for 2 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 AMβ9 PM. Food tastes decent, but $22 for 8oz of meat, a basic side, dry cornbread, and a fountain drink is crazy. I came specifically for ribs and they were out, which happens, but itβs still pricey for basic barbecue you can get anywhere.

food was good, i got the sampler with two meats. i got the jalepeno sausage and the brisket. it was good but i wish i wouldβve gotten more than two pieces of brisket.

Great service, awesome food and overall atmosphere. A bit on the pricier than most other places in the area, but the sauces makes the experience worth every penny.

The brisket sandwich was so good. The meat was done, but not dry, like a lot of brisket. The service was amazing. The lady they had at the front door could not have been friendlier. And their mission, to help vets, is honorable. All in all, a great experience, and we'll be back.

Didn't really like the meat, the sauces are delicious. The brisket tasted like pot roast. Not sure how happens but I wasn't really satisfied. The bark has a nice flavor to it. Good smoke ring. The KC and Smokey mountain BBQ sauces were the best.
